If you’ve not been to Las Vegas recently, make sure to check out the brand new CityCenter, which is in the middle of the Las Vegas strip, on your next visit. Control4 helped to bring the latest in technology to over 4,300 suites in the Aria Resort & Casino, and in the Mandarin Oriental (located in the CityCenter). The company installed a Control4 Suite System that allows guests to control every room environment, as well as give them the ability to interact with entertainment and hotel services.

The level of personalization that this system brings is exceptional. When guests walk into their rooms, they are treated to an “automated welcome experience”. The lights gradually come on, the drapes open to the views of Las Vegas, and the TV is powered on and set to a screen that lists automated controls. Here, the guests can control personal preferences such as lighting levels, room temperature, guest services, etc.
Different “scenes” are already integrated onto the system. Next to the bed, a touchscreen has a “good night” mode, which turns off all of the lights, TV, music, closes the drapes, and enables a privacy notification for the room. There is also a “wake-up” scene that, similarly, enables the drapes to open, as well as turn on whatever electronics desired.

Not only does this system bring a luxurious element to the rooms, but it also lives up to the conscious efforts of Green travelers. “Control4 Suite Systems offers CityCenter guests the reassurance that they are staying in the most energy efficient establishment in Las Vegas. We can control energy consumption in rooms with a single remote control,” said Scot Campbell, Senior VP and Chief Information Officer of MGM Mirage Information Technology.

The Control4 Suite System combines concierge-type convenience for both guests and property management. It also has been incorporated into the rooms of other high-end hotel properties, such as the Montage Beverly Hills.Montage Beverly Hills
