Talk of the Town, a norther New Jersey dealer with showrooms in Allendale and Hoboken, hosts a special event today, called "The Automated Home," for local architects and designers. New York Spaces magazine, is co-hosting the event and the night will feature socializing and demonstrations on how home theater and automation technology can fit into architectural and interior design.
The event, which takes place between 5:30 and 7:30, will feature appearances by New York Spaces editor Jason Kontos and home theater designer Theo Kalomirakis. The evening is designed to allow attendees to see and hear the latest in audio, video, home theater, and automation technology in Talk of the Town's Allendale showroom, and to find out more about the various ways these technologies can be integrated into their projects while maintaining design integrity.
Manufacturer representatives from companies such as Meridian and Sim2 will also be be on hand to answer questions and provide informal one-on-one demonstrations of the various systems on display. The first 50 attendees will also receive an autographed copy of Kalomirakis' coffee table book, "Great Escapes: New Designs for Home Theaters."
