In Greek Mythology, the Titans were the powerful forbearers of the gods, know for their size and might. So, Musical Fidelity aptly chose that name to give its new amplifier, the Titan, a  handcrafted dual mono amp. It has some pretty significant power, able to channel 1,000 watts per channel in to 8 Ohms (and subsequently 2,000 watts into 4 Ohms and 4,000 watts into 2 Ohms). The amp boasts a number of high-end audio benefits, including a distortion and signal to noise ratio claim of less than 0.01 percent from 10Hz to 50kHz. It also boasts low noise, wide dynamic range and has inputs for balanced and single ended connections, along with two sets of 30 micron gold-plated speaker terminals. The front panel is machined from a solid billet of aluminum and all the heatsinks and the top panel are made from custom extrusions. Retailing at $30,000 each, the amp is built at the company's facility in Wembley, England, the Titan is literally hand-crafted one at a time.
